Since voting at the October meeting to make some internal modifications to the firehouse, members have been hard at work getting the downstairs portion of the project underway. Work started in mid-November and is nearing completion. The chief's office and tool
room have been completely torn out and the walls and trim have been painted. The Department took delivery last Tuesday of the new turn-out gear washer and dryer from last
year's AFG. Electrical and plumbing work are in progress.
With the majority of the installation work completed on the new equipment and placement figured out for other items around the firehouse, the apparatus was rearranged and moved to their new locations last Thursday. The hope is to have all downstairs work completed by the end of January with remodeling work upstairs to commence soon thereafter. |
