THE PAGERS DO STILL WORK...

January 2, 2012
Franklin Twp
Box Area 4-4
After 24 days with no fire calls, the first call of the new year came in at 1158 hrs for a dumpster fire at 4743 Chambersburg Rd. Engine 4-1 (A/C Six) responded with 5. The engine arrived to find a smoldering fire inside the dumpster. After the fire was extinguished A/C Six decided to go dumpster diving. Not sure what was in there, but it must have been something good... E4-1 cleared at 1227 hrs.

Units: E4-1

FUNERAL DETAIL

January 23, 2012
Five members from CCFD traveled to Abbottstown with Engine 4-1 to attend the funeral service for Fireman Brandon Little of United Hook & Ladder Company #33 who lost his life on the evening of January 18, 2012 when he was involved in a collision in his personal vehicle while responding to a working garage fire on Berlin Road.

We would like to give our sincere thanks to Guardian Hose Company of Thurmont, MD for transferring Engine/Tanker 104 with a crew of four to protect the Cashtown area while our members paid their respects. The transfer crew did take in one medical assist call. Thanks again, guys!
