- OPEN BURNING -
| Open burning is permitted between dawn and dusk. You should report your open burn by contacting the Adams County Department of Emergency Services on their non-emergency line at 717-334-8101 at the time you are beginning to burn. There is no need to contact the fire station directly or to call ahead of time. The dispatcher will ask for your name, address, and phone number to document the open burning.
Open burns should be attended to by an adult at all times and you should have a garden hose or other water source immediately available. Please do not conduct open burning in any area that could lead to the fire spreading to woods or buildings. |
