| The Cashtown Community Fire Dept. Fire Police assist with traffic and crowd control on emergency incidents as well as on non-emergency and preplanned events and routinely assist mutual aid departments throughout Adams County. As with all departments in the county, the Cashtown Fire Police have their own pager alert tone which can be activated by Adams County 911 when fire police are requested but the fire department itself does not need to respond. Adams County Fire Police have their own zone of talkgroups (radio channels) on the county's 800 MHz radio system designated specifically for fire police to communicate during operations.
